I mentioned in this post how delicious this super macro recipe was the other day and promised to share my tweaks, so here it is! See below for macros for a 2oz serving with my modifications.
Make sure you head to her page and show her some love on the original recipe post. I usually try to link to people’s recipes that are not my own rather than postin gthem to my site, and I thought about just directing you there, but I realize some of my followers don’t have Instagram and so I will share it here for that reason.
The recipe which is super easy and only requires a mason jar or a blender! I used a Ninja to blend since I wanted the garlic to be pulverized and because of using the gelatin in my version.
My modifications were to use French’s Chardonnay Dijon mustard which is my favorite flavor Dijon by far! I also use a combination of Splenda and Splenda naturals for my sweetener. I did not have the garlic she mentioned, so I just used the dried kind and it was perfect. My last modification was to add 10 g of Vital Proteins gelatin powder to make it just a little bit thicker.
Chantal Hall’s Dijon Vinaigrette Dressing (Plus my modifications):
Ingredients:
-3/4 cup (6 oz) water
-1/2 cup (4 oz) apple cider vinegar
-6 packets low calorie sweetener of choice such as Truvia, Splenda, Stevia, etc. (I used a combination of Splenda and Splenda naturals which is a blend of Stevia + erythritol)
-3 TBSP (45g) Dijon mustard (I used French’s Chardonnay)
-1/2 tsp pepper
-2 tsp salt (I only used 1 tsp)
-4 pressed roasted garlic cloves (I used 2 tsp dried garlic)
-10 g Vital Proteins gelatin power, optional if you want a slightly thick dressing
Instructions:
Put everything in a blender/Ninja and blend until mixed. If you aren’t adding the gelatin, you can just put it in a mason jar and shake it up. Store in the fridge. Keeps for a week or two, but it won’t last that long!
Chantel said she uses this on everything, and I can see why! I am super excited to play around with variations by adding different seasonings and flavors of mustard (especially the yummy ones by Sam’s Choice that Walmart carries). Thank you @Lorifitlife for sharing about this recipe!
I’ve been using it for two weeks on my #MacroMicroBowl meals using this recipe.
Reader Questions:
1/ What would you try this on first?
2/ Have you ever made your own dressing?
