#75Hard Day 14: Be Selective About Your Habits & Disciplines
✅ Who we are becoming is as important as what we are doing.
✅ “We first make our habits and then our habits make us.” —John Dryden
✅ Be intentional with which habits and disciplines you select to practice. They not only create outcomes in terms of your goals and dreams, but they make you into someone in the process.
✅ Choose those which design you become the type of person you wish to be; one that honors the Lord and does things of Kingdom value, not just temporary value. Matthew 16:26 says: It is worth nothing for you to have the whole world [wealth, fame, success] but destroy yourself in exchange for it. You could never pay enough to buy back your life.
✅ In Philippians 3:5-11, Paul discusses how he counts everything he was previously so proud of as worthless in light of being in alignment with Christ’s righteousness. He was so disciplined and dedicated, but to the wrong things. What he was doing was destroying who he was becoming.
✅ Choose Your habits and disciples wisely (i.e. in terms of Kingdom value). They should allow you to become who God has called you to be and support that process.
✅ This is why I do what I do. Not just for the sake of healthy habits, but for the purpose of serving others to end up somewhere on purpose.
▶️ My mission: I teach women of faith how to equip themselves with healthy habits, mindset skills, and efficient self-care so that they can walk in freedom and abundant life, show up as their best self in service of others, and are able to function at their highest capacity in order to fulfill the God-given purpose for their life!
