Sorry I couldn’t think of something more fancy to call these 🤷🏻♀️
If you can overlook the lack of name creativity and focus instead on how delicious they are—not to mention simple and easy (#MinimalistMealPrep)—you might be willing to overlook it!
🥬 112g Boar’s Head honey maple ham
🥬 112g Lettuce wraps
🥬 42g Light Swiss cheese
🥬 20g 50% less sugar craisins
🥬 56g Jazz apple, sliced
👉🏼 Optional step: Place craisins in a small bowl with a tbsp of water a few hours before you make the wraps. This plumps them up! Drain what’s left afterward.
👉🏼 Divide everything equally among lettuce wraps and enjoy with sides of choice! Shown is sautéed Romaine and snap peas.
❗️Feel free to tweak ingredient amounts to suit macros.
❗️Add flavored mustard, fruit relish, or even preserves if desired.
❗️I purchased a container of pre-cut lettuce wraps so that I would have wraps large enough for the toppings. If you buy whole romaine, the leaves may not be wide enough.
❗️Swap the jazz apple for Granny Smith (or pear) and the Swiss for brie!
PSA: My #MacroFriendly posts can be used as ideas for those who use a #MindfulMacros approach (AKA not tracking, but structuring meals based on how their body responds best to protein, carbs, and fat) as well. This is the goal place for some to reach after they learn the ropes by tracking for a period of time. Remember, there is no right or wrong way to find your forever way to eat!
