Strawberry Banana Cream Yogurt Bowl! 🍓🍌🍨🥜
This yogurt bowl variation is a melding of two childhood (and adulthood 😂) favorites — peanut butter and jelly and peanut butter and banana. I am partial to strawberry jam on my PB&J as opposed to grape, but I certainly wouldn’t turn my nose up at either!
It’s no secret that I enjoy eating #VolumeFood. Did you realize that you can eat a pound of frozen strawberries for 150 calories!? For a bowl like this, that leaves a lot of wiggle room for the other mix-ins!
I love #JellOYogurtBowls, and a #YJPbowl (Yogurt Jell-O pudding bowls), but skipping the Jell-O /pudding makes this an easy last minute #macrocap if you didn’t make Jell-O or pudding in advance.
Tips:
✅ Thaw your strawberries in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring halfway through. They are best cold but a little bit soft in my opinion!
✅ I do 8-12 ounces of Siggi’s vanilla skyr, 1 lb strawberries, a medium banana, and 2-3 servings of PB2 foods powdered peanut butter. You could tailor to fit your macro needs. I am heavy-handed with my dessert macros 🤷🏻♀️😂
✅ Feel free time add cereal or other crunchy toppings.
✅ I add toppings as I go, rather than putting everything on top the way most people do.
✅ You can use plain skyr and add low calorie sweetener if you prefer to lower carbs more.
✅ You can substitute Greek yogurt for the skyr, but if you have not tried it yet, trust me when I say you won’t go back to Greek yogurt after you do! It’s thicker / creamier and has more protein!
✅ You can sub pb2 foods almond powder if you can’t have peanuts.
