Kaci’s Friday Find is a way for me to share something I feel is useful, valuable, interesting, or new that will make healthy living / practicing healthy habits easier, more effective, and / or enjoyable!

I’ve been a long-time follower of Proverbs 31 Ministries. I love the devotionals they publish Monday through Friday on their website. This past year or so I have been including the studies they do via the First 5 App into my daily quiet time. I cannot recommend this enough! Most of the studies are about 40 days in length and walk through a single book of the Bible (or sometimes two small books that pair with one another). There’s a teaching Monday through Friday followed by a weekend deep dive that covers the previous week’s teachings. You can either listen to that in audio format, or read the transcript. You can utilize the app as is, or order a physical copy of the devotional that has even more information than what’s covered in the app.
I love the format of the daily teachings for several reasons:
1️⃣ Trustworthy insight. They rotate authors who are well versed in Bible teaching, so there’s always a variety of perspectives that you know you can trust to bring truth and wisdom.
2️⃣ Applicable truth. There’s always some kind of key takeaway that they deep dive into and which provides a major moment point of clarity. There’s a clear path between biblical information and how it applies to our own life.
3️⃣ Community: Others all over the world are going through the study at the same time and you can even create your own group within the app to create a note proves place to ask questions and respond to one another if you want.
4️⃣ Practical application: The author always ends with a question or two for you to ponder and reflect on. There’s a place for you to add your own personal note that’s private from other users, but you can also answer the question in the comments and interact with one another.
