#75Hard Day 70: Who You Are Becoming > What You Are Doing {Vlog}

▶️ In the process of striving towards a goal, keep in mind that who you are becoming is more important than what you are doing. ▶️ Certainly what you are doing is important. “We first make our habits and then our habits make us.” —John Dryden ▶️ We never want to pursue our goals at the cost of our character. ▶️ The pursuit of our goals should be building into the type of person who we want to become. ▶️ As Christ followers, we are designed to become progressively more like Christ. ▶️ We must use caution and assess whether the methods we use to progress are not at the cost of our value system or priorities as well as make sure they do not impact others negatively. ▶️ For example, we only have so much time in a day. If we burn the candle at both ends in order to make progress on our goals more quickly, it comes at the cost of our health and well-being. It also makes us less pleasant to be around for others. ▶️ We are called to steward our bodies well, but we also can’t skip thinks like our morning quiet time at the expense of squeezing in a workout. ▶️ Is there anything that comes to mind when you are thinking of these principles? ▶️ Is there a healthy boundary that you might need to put into place so that you maintain a priority focus on who you are becoming? ▶️ P.S. When looking at making these or any changes, remember that the Lord’s conviction is different than Satan’s condemnation. The Lord’s conviction will empower and encourage you to become better, even if it feels uncomfortable. The devil’s voice will be condemning and he will often heap shame and/or fear with that condemnation. You want to be sure you know the difference in Holy convictions and unnecessary condemnation. ▶️ If you need help with navigating changes like this, please feel free to reach out to me or someone you trust. Being able to brainstorm can help and if you are dealing with attack of any kind from Satan, you will need the support of another believer! #75Hard #WhatCanBeGainedCoaching
