This Asparagus is so flippin’ delicious, you’ll want to eat the whole bunch! I love how the tips and sides get crispy, but the rest is perfectly tender. The sad part is that it has turned my husband and I into asparagus snobs. Asparagus is one of our favorite sides because it is healthy and delicious. We are usually disappointed by the asparagus we get when we order it at restaurants now… 9 times out of 10 we end up remarking that we could have made it better at home!
It is even kid approved. My husband and I made this for a family get-together and my sister-in-law and niece loved it. Now my sister-in-law makes it all the time for her daughter and her daughter’s friends—by request!!!
I love that it is so simple and fast to make. No special ingredients required…all you need to some coconut oil spray or EVOO and your favorite spice blend. I has become one of our go-to last minute sides.
CRISPY ROASTED ASPARAGUS:
Method:
1/ Preheat oven to 425°F.
2/ Wash and dry your asparagus.
3/ Place in a ziplock bag, spray with coconut oil (I used Pompeian) or olive oil, and toss to coat.
4/ Sprinkle with seasonings of choice (I used Olde Thompson sweet and smoky barbecue grinder but another favorite for this recipe is Cavender’s Greek Seasoning) and toss again to coat.
5/ Space evenly on a sheet lined with aluminum foil.
6/ Cook for *15 minutes, flip and cook for *10 more minutes.
7/ Serve immediately for maximum crisp factor👌🏼
*Note: you may need to adjust cooking time depending on how thick your asparagus is.
