#75Hard Day 46: Habits Get Easier To Build With Time
▶️ The individuals that we admire for being so successful and seeming to have everything in place are not unicorns or flukes of nature who are endowed with more skill, or willpower, or self discipline than the rest of us.
▶️ They have simply shown up and put in the reps required to strengthen their ability to be productive and efficient.
▶️ Once they have self disciplines and habits in place, they then put systems and processes into practice around those habits in order to keep themselves functioning efficiently.
▶️ As @jadeteta says, “Easy is earned.” They have put in the work to earn the ability to get results in a manner that is streamlined and therefore looks easy.
▶️ They trusted the principle of growth and didn’t give up cultivating the seeds they planted before they saw the fruit of their work. They understood the time had to pass before planting the seed and reaping the harvest.
▶️ Adding new habits and disciplines gets easier and we become more efficient at it the longer we have worked on developing habits and disciplines previous situations. The process snowballs.
▶️ As the Bible says, “do not despise the day of small beginnings.” Zechariah 4:10a
▶️ You are laying a foundation. You can’t skip ahead and build the walls to a house before the foundation is properly laid. You can’t build level two of the house before level one is established.
▶️ You have to build each level at a time, but once the house is built, it is easier to come back and do renovations and upgrades when needed.
▶️ You can’t take shortcuts, otherwise you will have to come back and tear down and start from scratch.
