#MacroFriendlyMonday15 — The BEST Two Ingredient Homemade Marinara Sauce!

You guys this recipe probably shouldn’t even be called a recipe. I mean, if you don’t include water as technically an ingredient, then it’s only one ingredient! But I digress! The fact is that this is the most rich and flavorful way to make homemade marinara and it literally takes just a few seconds.

👩🏻‍🍳Whisk together one 6 oz can of tomato paste with 5-6 oz water (depending on how thick you like it!) and boom—done!

Contadina has several flavor varieties. My favorite variety of paste to use is the pesto flavor. You can add any additional seasonings to preference. You can even toss in leftover cooked vegetables and ground or chopped meat to make a complete meal over pasta, spiralized veggies, or riced veggies.

Recipe makes 10-12oz depending on how much water you use. Entire recipe is 175 calories and is enough for at least 2 portions, so it is suuuper #macrofriendly!

Reader Questions:
1/ Have you ever made sauce from tomato paste?
2/ How would you use it?
