Carbs currently at 300, so I’ve been looking for easy ways to hit my target. I found this gem (Reser’s Seasoned hash browns) the other day at the grocery store. Zero fat, a few grams of protein, but mostly carbs, which makes it an easy button way to boost my intake. They have a plain version as well, but these are seasoned perfectly so all you have to do is cook and eat! Ketchup is a must with hash browns, at least in my opinion! The package directs to cook in a pan on high heat with butter, but to get these bad boys a little extra crispy, I used an egg white wash and then cooked with cooking spray.
🥔 105g seasoned hash browns
🥔 15g liquid egg whites
🥔 5g oil of choice (I used olive oil cooking spray)
1️⃣ Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
2️⃣ Toss your hashbrowns in the egg whites.
3️⃣ Spray your pan with cooking spray and add the hash browns mixture. Spread it in as even and thin of a layer as you can.
4️⃣ Cook until they begin to get brown and crispy, then flip and repeat.
5️⃣ Serve alongside meal of choice topped with ketchup if desired!
This week I’m pairing these with two eggs sunny side up, a couple of egg whites, 3 Kim’s onion flavored magic pop for dipping the eggs, sautéed sugar snap peas, 2 slices turkey bacon, and Dave’s killer raisin bread toast.
