This isn’t my typical post, but life isn’t “typical” right now. We lost my sister-in-law Cindy this week. She is survived by her daughter, Gaby. The family has asked for donations to be made to assist with costs of services and to provide financially for Gaby in the upcoming months (her father passed just a few years ago). If you would like to contribute, you can use this link for the Go Fund Me page. Please feel free to share with anyone you think may want to support.
Cindy was a nurse who served as a combat medic for the Air Force in Iraq. She did so voluntarily; she did not “feel right sitting on base“ given what was taking place. She was one of the most genuine and attentive people I’ve ever met. She loved deeply and prioritized family in a manner many don’t these days. She had a servant heart and an inquisitive mind. She felt deeply and lived passionately. I am better for having known her.
We are grateful to know she is at peace with the Lord, but as you can imagine, the grief is still a heavy shadow at the moment. If you would, please cover the family in prayer during this time, especially her daughter Gaby. We are believing for her healing in this, but as you can imagine, the grief at such a young age is not benign. Thank you to those who have reached out and messaged. It has meant more than you know.
